New work in by John Groth
August 24th, 2010 by pismoJohn etches intricate, repetitive line-work on to panels of glass using a waterjet process. Colored clay is then applied in the recessed grooves. The flat panels are heated and rolled up onto a gather of glass and blown to the final vase form, using traditional glassblowing techniques. Check out our web site and Facebook page for pictures.

Hiroshi’s work includes fish that are hot sculpted out of glass. Hiroshi says about his work, “Migratory fish have to carry on swimming to stay alive. I feel that this is common in my life too. Ever since I realized that, I have put fish in my work.”
